April at Inhotim

Changes in the landscape and in our program: as autumn arrives, new activities spread out along the paths of Inhotim this April. In addition to seeing with the art and botanical collections up close, you will be able to explore three new exhibitions involving performances, installations, paintings and much more, as well as the opening of the 2024 season of Musical Routes.

The exhibitions O Barco | The Boat (2021), by Grada Kilomba, Esconjuro (Conjuration; 2024), by Paulo Nazareth, and Essays on Landscape can be visited starting April 13, at the Galpão, Praça and Lago Galleries, respectively. On April 14, Kilomba will present a performance to the public, with limited tickets and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Check our website and social media pages for more information.

To delve deeper into the new works, take part in the themed visits offered by the Education team. On the panoramic tour, held daily, you’ll learn about Inhotim’s history. This month, the Moving Atelier will hold workshops on the artists Cristina Iglesias, Dan Graham and Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster. The activities are free and aimed at people of all ages.

In an invitation to listen and experience the most significant voices of contemporary classical music, the Musical Routes program will feature a series of concerts by the Inhotim Orchestra in Brumadinho and Belo Horizonte.

The Inhotim Institute is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday. For a free visit, book your ticket for Wednesdays or for the last Sunday of the month, April 28. Find out more in the Free Inhotim Guide. Purchase your ticket at Sympla and don’t miss the opportunity to visit Inhotim.
