Educational Concert | The Journey of the Viola Caipira
The Concertos Didáticos (Educational Concerts) are led by renowned musicians who interact with the audience through practical demonstrations, fostering the expansion of musical repertoire, and educating and training participants in musical performance and other aspects of music.
In November, the program explores the history and evolution of the viola caipira, a Brazilian ten-string folk guitar, highlighting its significance as part of Brazil’s musical heritage and its presence across diverse instrumental genres. This educational experience, thoughtfully curated for the Inhotim audience, will feature moments of attentive listening, complemented by technical and historical insights.
Analu Braga (percussion), Bia Nascimento (guitar), and Letícia Leal (viola caipira) will perform classic and celebrated works by Hermeto Pascoal, Jacob do Bandolim, Guinga, and other leading figures in Brazilian instrumental and popular music.
