National Campaign for Suicide Prevention: Skin That Feels, Body That Lives

In observance of Brazil’s Yellow September—the national campaign for suicide prevention and mental health awareness—Inhotim presents a program open to both visitors and collaborators. Organized by GINGA, Inhotim’s Racial Equity Committee, together with the People Management Department, the initiative features activities that honor self-care, body awareness, and the cultivation of positive self-esteem, with a special focus on practices centered on the care of Black skin.

  • Conversation Circle| Identity, Mental Health and Well-Being

Dr. Monalisa Nunes, a dermatologist active in racial, feminist and vegan causes, and Fábio Lopes, a tattoo artist specializing in Black skin, discuss the impact that skin health and the celebration of Black aesthetics can have on emotional well-being. The conversation will explore the intersection of science, aesthetics, and identity, addressing everything from specific dermatological care to the importance of recognizing and celebrating one’s own image as a way to strengthen self-esteem and mental health.
