Using a sculptor's tools and instruments laid out on tables, Victor Grippo recreates an artist's studio here. Natural light, entering through a small crack in the window, illuminates the room according to the sun's movement throughout the day. Thus, the work is also an indicator of the passage of time, incorporating what happens outside the room as part of the work.

First created in the studio of an artist residency in St. Ives, a village in southwest England, the work manifests the artist's interest in the connection between art, life, and science, making use of organic matter alongside tools and items from the craft of sculpture. At the Inhotim Institute, the installation occupies the former carpentry workshop of the original farm, as a tribute to the work previously undertaken in this space.
