Native to the Canary Islands, this date palm welcomes visitors at the Inhotim reception. It is one of the most cultivated plants in the warmer regions of the planet. Its flowers attract attention with their luminous coloration, ranging from yellow to orange.
Unlike other date palms, its fruits are not edible for humans. However, its sap is extracted to produce a type of honey that is suitable for consumption.
