Fictional or imaginary characters are recurrent in Tunga's work. In the untitled work (2010), which is part of the series Marionettes, Steel cables outline the silhouette of a human figure and form a network, filled with large quartz crystals that give volume to this body. This crystal body is suspended in space by metal wires attached to a structure similar to that used in marionettes.
The artwork's placement, close to natural light, is strategic, since the sunlight, in contact with the crystals, reinforces their transparency, giving the work a ghostly quality.
