In his untitled work (2001), Edgard de Souza revisits the tradition of bronze statuary between the 17th and 19th centuries, an important reference for his work. The torso is the point of contact between the two bodies – which become, at the same time, two and one.

It is possible to recognize a couple, but also a single body and its reflection. Focused on issues related to corporeality and self-representation, sculptures like this also evoke the atmosphere of imagination and dreams.
