Marilá Dardot received her initial training in social communication from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and studied visual arts at the Guignard School (Belo Horizonte) between 1997 and 1999. Her work constantly engages with language and literature, encompassing videos, photographs, prints, sculptures, paintings, performances, installations, and more. site-specifics.
Some works include titles referencing authors and literary and philosophical works, while others use the book form and the construction of spaces like libraries, with public access. There are also works that originate from collections of phrases and words that the artist has kept over the years.
