Found in the Americas, this palm tree can reach over 15 meters in height. The inflorescence (the part of the plant that contains the cluster of flowers) is visited by various bees, and its fruits are used in ice cream, liqueurs, cooking oil, hair moisturizers, and even fuels. The remaining parts can be used for the production of fence posts, stakes, obtaining palm hearts, sap, and extracting fibers for fishing line and nets.
