Inspired by the desert landscapes of Mexico and the arid and semi-arid regions of Brazil, the garden features approximately 120 species adapted to hot environments with water restrictions, such as the Cactaceae, Crassulaceae, and Euphorbiaceae groups.
Located in the Educational Nursery, this garden was designed by landscape architect Pedro Nehring and prompts reflection on the use of water in landscaping, as well as on thorns, sheaths, fleshy leaves, and other forms that plants use to survive adverse conditions.
