Anyone who travels through the Brazilian Cerrado has probably been surprised by the beauty of this species of yellow ipê tree and its vibrant colors that bloom in winter, at the height of the dry season, announcing the arrival of spring and the first rains.

In addition to its landscaping potential, ipê wood can be used in construction, joinery, carpentry, and in the making of barrels for aging cachaça (Brazilian rum).
