Located at the end of the avenue leading to the headquarters of the old farm that now houses the Inhotim Institute, the sculpture Gui Tuo Bei (2001) part of the tradition of Chinese culture. The work makes reference to the monolithic monuments carried by a tortoise that are common in sacred places and public spaces.

The text engraved on the sculpture narrates a proverb about a man who, despite his advanced age, manages to move the mountains that blocked the path to his home. The exaltation of determination and effort is also present in the figure of the turtle, which has Zhang Huan's own face sculpted on its face, thus referencing the work of carrying on a tradition, as well as thinking beyond it.
