Opened in 2009, Folly (2005-2009) was first presented at the 51st Venice Biennale (2005). From the outside, the visitor observes a structure reminiscent of a bandstand, with mirrored walls reflecting the surrounding vegetation. The landscape design – developed in collaboration between the artist Valeska Soares and the team from the Inhotim Institute's Botanical Garden – differs from the rest of the park by leading the visitor to the work through a long path of flowers.

Inside, the walls, also covered in mirrors, receive projections of Tonight (2002), which depicts people dancing in the former Pampulha Casino, now the Pampulha Art Museum (Belo Horizonte), to the sound of the song The Look of Love (1967), by Burt Bacharach. The circular space highlights the dancers' movements and allows the audience to see themselves as part of the scene.
