Designed by Paulo Orsini, the gallery, inaugurated in 2002, is the first to exhibit the work of a single artist on a permanent basis. The installation True Rouge (1997) brings together suspended containers, in irregular positions, reminiscent of a laboratory setting. Inside each glass piece is a red liquid which, depending on the angle, spills over other containers.
The work also features a process that the artist calls "installation," a performative act composed of a group of nude actors who occupy the space, interacting with the pieces and activating the work. The piece alludes to important themes in Tunga's production: life cycles, alchemy, and the presence of bodies.
