The Nascente Gallery, located on the Orange Axis of Inhotim, is a space dedicated to temporary exhibitions that connects contemporary art, territory, and memory. Close to important works and galleries within the circuit, the space invites the public to more intimate journeys, connected to the natural landscape and the history of the Institute itself.

Opened to the public in 2012, the building was originally a stable on the old farm that occupied the area where Inhotim is located today. The property was known as Olhos d'Água, due to the abundance of springs, streams, and orchards. Its adaptation for exhibition use preserves elements of this vernacular architecture while incorporating contemporary solutions.

Formerly known as Galeria Carlos Garaicoa, Nascente now operates as a temporary gallery, aligning itself with other exhibition spaces at Inhotim, such as Galeria Lago and Galeria Fonte. All of these spaces host commissioned projects and exhibitions by contemporary artists in dialogue with the local and global context.
