Designed by Arquitetos Associados, the Miguel Rio Branco Gallery opened in 2010, featuring a construction project that engages with the Baroque influences present in the artist's work. Taking advantage of the sloping terrain, the architecture is divided into a suspended block and an underground block.

This contrast is also present in the lighting of the spaces, since indirect natural light predominates on the lower floor, while the second floor is marked by the absence of light. In this way, the dramatic character of the artist's work is highlighted by the lamps directed individually at the artworks.
