Inaugurated in 2012, the gallery was designed by Rizoma Arquitetura to house the artwork. Ttéia 1C (2002), by Lygia Pape. The installation is the result of experiments that the artist began in 1977 with her students based on the observation of spider webs in nature, and how the structure disappeared and reappeared according to the incidence of light, a kind of column that vanishes and reappears as the viewer walks through the space.
Architectural elements, such as the total absence of light, challenge spatial perception, and the journey to the artwork is guided by the intuition of finding something hidden in the darkness.
