Inaugurated in 2006, the Lago Gallery was the last temporary exhibition space to be built at the Inhotim Institute. Designed by architect Paulo Orsini, the structure evokes, more than other constructions, the idea of a white cube, marked by the absence of openings connecting the space to the exterior, thus conferring a neutrality that prioritizes the presentation of the artwork within the environment. Its location near the large lake served as inspiration for naming the space, a characteristic trait of temporary galleries: associating their names with elements and functions present in each building.
