Inaugurated in 2008, the gallery project was designed by Arquitetos Associados and conceived in dialogue with the artwork. Neither (2004), by Doris Salcedo. The space has the same dimensions as the room where the work was first exhibited in 2004 at the White Cube gallery (London). In her career, the artist deals with power structures and how they interfere in people's lives.

Here, this discussion takes place within an intervention in space, using the architecture of concentration camps as a historical reference. We observe a large, white, windowless room, seemingly neutral, with walls entirely penetrated by bars, exposing the tension between external and internal space, security and imprisonment.
