Elisa Bracher graduated in Fine Arts from the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation (São Paulo), and her work spans the fields of sculpture, drawing, and printmaking. Since the early 1990s, she has produced works testing the limits and tensions of the materials she works with. While producing abstract prints, she also uses metal in her three-dimensional works, but soon begins to use wood, especially weathered wood found in old materials.

Towards the end of that decade, he increased the scale of his works, creating monumental sculptures in squares and public spaces. In these sculptures, despite the wooden trunks being fitted together, the overall effect maintains a sense of imbalance. His main solo exhibitions include shows at the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, the Centro Cultural São Paulo, and the São Paulo Biennial.
