De lama lâmina (2004) is a video development of the performance carried out in partnership with the musician Arto Lindsay, at the Salvador carnival in 2004. Instead of the conventional electric trio, a huge tractor, which in the work performs as a kind of float, is accompanied by the Cortejo Afro bloco.

Between the wheels of the machine is GreenmanA hybrid figure, part man, part plant, appears outside, while a character inspired by an environmental activist climbs the enormous tree being carried by the tractor. Interested in the relationship between seemingly opposing elements, Matthew Barney addresses, among other issues, the relationship between creation and destruction, within the ecological and socio-political context. The title references two deities of Candomblé: Ossanha, the orixá of plants and the vital forces of nature, and Ogum, the orixá of iron and war.
