The bird's-nest anthurium occurs naturally in tropical forests, from Mexico to Panama. It was introduced to Brazil by Roberto Burle Marx, who had a notable interest in the diversity of forms of the Araceae family.
Unlike most anthuriums, the leaves of this species grow directly from the base, can reach 1,80m in height, and have very dark shades of green.
It has a very beautiful purple inflorescence that stands out against the green leaves. Visit the Galpão Gallery and you can find them in the surrounding area.
