Music school

Music is powerful when it comes to education. That's why Inhotim's musical projects aim to promote spaces for learning, performances, and experiences. These are multidisciplinary initiatives that bring together and energize the dialogue with the Institute's visual arts and botany programming.

The School of Music has Vale as its Master Sponsor, Shell as Master Sponsor, Santander, Santander Asset, Esfera and Em Dia as Gold Sponsors, and Drogaria Araujo as a Bronze Sponsor through the Federal Law for Cultural Incentive.

Music school

Music for your ears, played by young people from the Brumadinho region. The String School was created in 2012 to promote free musical training in string instruments – violin, viola, cello, and double bass – with the aim of highlighting and expanding the artistic potential and sociocultural development of young people participating in the project.

Inhotim Orchestra

Composed of music students skilled in violin, viola, cello, and double bass, it has a repertoire of great artistic value, with works from the classical canon, Brazilian popular music, folk music, and contemporary music.

Adult Coral

Musical encounters with adults and seniors. Through music education and therapy, participants can reactivate affective memories, take care of their emotional health, raise their self-esteem, and develop their creativity and varied forms of artistic expression.

Musical programming

Anyone who wants to enjoy good music can keep an eye on the Inhotim Musical Routes project. The Inhotim Orchestra and the String Quartet, formed by professional musicians and section mentors, take the stage in performances at Inhotim, in Brumadinho and Belo Horizonte, in an annual musical program.
