Traveling Workshop

The Traveling Atelier understands all the spaces of the museum and botanical garden as places of experience that involve diverse artistic languages. Each week, our atelier moves to a different location, investigating how each space helps us discover ways to create and experience art and nature. In July, this program is even more intense.

Discover the schedule for the Circulating Workshop in July.

O Ateliê Circulante tem a Vale como Mantenedora Master e a Parceria Estratégica da Cemig por meio da Lei Federal de Incentivo à Cultura.

  • Presences in the Plot, by Paula Libertad

Based on the Maxita Yano exhibition , the public will collectively create a commemorative piece in homage to indigenous leaders and defenders of life who were murdered in the fight for their territories, through gestures of sewing, tying, and intertwining with natural fibers.

  • Cartography of Sounds, by Victória Brandão

What do birdsong, footsteps on the stones in Hélio Oiticica's work Invention of Color, Penetrável Magic Square #5, De Luxe (1977), and the music of the Valeska Soares Gallery have in common? They are all sounds that inhabit Inhotim. This workshop proposes a sensory experience of active listening, with the recording of sounds in different spaces and the creation of a collaborative soundscape of the museum.
