    • Researches at Inhotim

    The Inhotim Institute raises the interest of several researchers from different areas of knowledge. Since 2010, it has a Research Ethics Committee of the Instituto Inhotim (COEPI), which seeks to contribute to the development of research, from the receipt of the researcher to the follow-up of its process at the Institute. The main objectives of COEPI are to ensure ethical standards of research, as well as to obtain free and informed consent from individuals or groups involved in the research.

    COEPI is organized into a monthly activity schedule. Those interested in developing research on Inhotim should send a request between the 1st and 5th of each month. In the second and third weeks of the month, the Committee meets to discuss all projects received. Always in the last week, the answers to the requests are sent, with all the information necessary for the development of the researches. Inhotim is proud to contribute to the research.

    O Impacto do Twiter no Cotidiano do Instituto Inhotim

    The aim of this work is to study the possible impact caused by the use of the internet in Inhotim and analyze the changes that have occurred in the relationship between the museum and the public after the implementation of this technology. The specific objectives are: detailing the interests of museums at the social networks, analyze the use of this technology by the museums, and point out changes of everyday processes in the museums caused by the use of social networks.

The intention is observe: the frequency of predation of fruits in different seasons, the intensity of consumption in relation to other food items; behavior Caxinguelê during removal of the seeds, the germination of jerivá seeds after dispersal by Caxinguelê; the degree of dispersion population  of jerivá in Inhotim.

    The research proposes the monitoring of birds and mammals in Mina Hope Brumadinho / MG, in order to supplement the inventory of the fauna in areas that suffer interference mining. Noteworthy is the monitoring of specific Sicalis flaveola (canary - the-earth-true), Penelope obscura (Dusky-legged Guan) and Chrysocyon brachyurus (maned wolf), and for verifying the occurrence of Priodontes maximus (giant armadillo) in the area. The study will allow the design of mining impacts on wildlife communities.

This meant the introduction of a new element in the local landscape that would trigger the removal of the seat of the municipality and a process of significant changes in the environment that is becoming increasingly urban. Changes in the patterns of everyday life, in the workplace, in the movement of people and goods and the universe of habits and customs that characterized the locality.
